Praying Stone, Deerpark, Powerscourt

This stone is located in the townland of Deer Park in the Powerscourt Estate, on the banks of a stream and close to an old church. This granite stone is four foot long by two feet wide and has two circular depressions at the end of the stone with a ridge between the depressions below them is a deeper depression. Below the depressions are two roundish lumps and below the lumps is another depression of about 6 inches deep. What the purpose of the stone or whether its features are artificial or natural is unknown.
