Baron Delaval of Redford County Wicklow

Sir John Hussey Delaval KB in 1771 was created Baron Delaval of Redford Co. Wicklow on the 17th Oct 1783. Elevated to English peerage Aug 1786.

He was the son of Sir Francis Blake Delaval and Isabella the daughter of Thomas, Earl of Thanet. He married twice, firstly to Susannah the daughter of R. Robinson and secondly to Charlotte the daughter of a Mr. Knight. He was elected as an MP three times.  His seat was Seaton Delaval in Northumberland. He died in  1808 and was Buried in St Paul’s chapel, Westminster Abbey in London and his titles became extinct on his death.
