Ballynamuddagh is a townland near Windgates on Bray Head, the ancestral residence of the Spedding family. In 1838 Eugene O’Curry recorded in his Wicklow Ordinance Survey Letters that in this townland there was a place called the Giant’s Grave, though he continued to say that “no vestige whatever of a grave remains”. This is believed to have been a Dolmen.
