Lady Brereton

Lady Brereton was born Elizabeth Brabazon, she was the daughter of Edward Brabazon. Elizabeth married thrice, firstly to Bishop George Montgomery, which took place between 1605 and 1607. Bishop Montgomery died in 1620. She remarried in 1620 to Sir John Brereton.  Lady Brereton remarried after the death of Sir John Brereton, to John Bramston who was Lord Chief Justice of the Kings Bench. Lady Brereton died in 1639. Elizabeth was granted her land at Kindlestown and surrounding area by Sir Henry Pierce and in 1622 granted it to her brother William Brabazon, the 1st Earl of Meath.
